I am proud to be part of a vibrant club with over 90 members whose commitment to the work of Rotary in our community and internationally is demonstrated through projects such as: Bannerman Park Rotary Splashpad, Mundy Pond Skate Park, Buckmaster's Rotary Park, support to Hope Air, adopt a school project with Virginia Park Elementary, support for the Zimbabwean community of Tshelanyemba and for an orphanage in Phnom Penh City, Cambodia.
Our Club consists of a cross-section of our community, with representation from a variety of ages, cultures and experiences. We work hard and we like to have fun! In fact, we are irresistible! This year, as always we will focus fundraising efforts in our two main fundraisers - the Rotary Gala and Auction and our Trip of the Month Club ticket sales, and will also be strategizing about new ways to raise funds to support our programs. Of course we will also have a few socials and a weekly guest speaker who will always bring something new and interesting for Club members to think about.
Our Club meets on Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Portugal Cove Rd. If you think you might be interested in becoming a Rotarian - one of 1.2 million members worldwide - drop by and join us for lunch!
