Northwest Rotary Skatepark

OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE NORTHWEST ROTARY SKATEPARK -- 11 August 2005

City council members, Rotarians, and hundreds of youth celebrated the official opening of the Northwest Rotary Skakepark on August 11, 2005 at Mundy Pond Park. Following the ceremony the crowd enjoyed a demonstration by world-class professional skateboarder Rick McCrank and 3 of his team. The almost 19,000 square-foot park, the largest in Atlantic Canada, features various sized bowls, ramps, rails and stairs for beginners to experts.
