Northwest Rotary Skatepark
RI Significant Achievemant Award

Our Club was honored by Rotary International with a Significant Achievement Award, which is given to one club in each RI District annually. Our district #7820 includes Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, St. Pierre & Miquelon and the Magdalene Islands.

The award was presented by District Governor Elect Dennis Knight to PP Mark Brown and President Lucy Dobbin at our club's regular meeting on June 7, 2005. The award recognizes the sponsorship by our club of the Northwest Rotary Skatepark in Mundy Pond that was built in partnership with the City of St. John's. This award is especially appreciated as the Northwest Rotary Skatepark is our Club's Centennial project.
