Rotary Manor

Rotary Manor was built in 1988 under the initiative and leadership of our club.

Rotary Manor, is a 46-unit housing complex located on Lynch Place and Old Pennywell Road.  The Manor, offers 14 affordable, comfortable and secure one and two bedroom apartments for seniors and 11 dedicated to the needs of physically challenged individuals.  Northwest Rotary also subsidizes several two and three bedroom homes that are adjacent to the Rotary Manor building.  These homes enable single parents and their families to live normal and dignified lives as full participants in the community.

Total cost to build the Rotary Manor back in 1988 was $4,100,000.  It is certainly one of our club's most ambitious and successful projects to date.  Its undertaking involved a high degree of commitment from all members.  Rotary was challenged to seek out all possible sources of funding to raise the capital required and Rotarians worked together to complete the task.

Since its inception the Board of Directors that runs Rotary Manor is comprised entirely of St. John’s Northwest Rotarians.
